里山かまどご飯 Old-style Japanese lunch experience

Work together with your teacher to prepare a simple yet special Japanese lunch, just as the people of Kumagawa-juku did hundreds of years ago. The centerpiece of this lunch is the finest Koshihikari rice, grown with the purest water from Wakasa town.

Information

The flow:
1. Start cooking at 10:30 a.m.
2. Finish and eat lunch at 12:00 p.m.
3. Enjoy lunch and relax until 1:30 p.m.
Pricing:
Adults are 6,800 yen (tax included) per guest
Children are 3,400 yen (tax included) per guest
Children under 3 are free. Children from 3 years to 15 years old fall under the "child" pricing.
Number of guests:
Only groups of 2-4 guests can participate.
Parking:
Please park your car across from Hishiya, the same place where you checked in.

From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

5. Mushrooms (shiitake)
6. Mackerel paste (heshiko)
7. Seasonal vegetables
8. Japanese arrowroot tea
9. Homemade plum juice
Important Notes:
1. This experience will happen on the day after your check-in.
2. This experience is limited to 1 group per day.
3. Smoking and vaping is forbidden within the property.
4. After the experience, your clothes may smell of smoke. For those concerned, please prepare a change of clothes.
